Basic historical gift shop. However, the clothes are actually very cute. They aren’t basic tourist gift shop clothes with cringy labels. I would definitely buy the sweatshirts the next time I visit!

I grew up in Alexandria so Mt Vernon and GW Parkway are "home" to me every time we return here to visit my parents. We went to the gift shop so I could get thank you gifts for my son's teachers. I wanted to get them something from Mt Vernon instead of a generic Home Goods gift. Items are expensive, but for gifts they are cute & look good & unique.

What a wonderful experience purchasing from this store! We ordered quite a few items in multiple orders and they were shipped very fast. When the package arrived, the packaging was superb. These are the best shipped gifts we have ordered this year. Great quality items and impeccable service. Thank you to the Mount Vernon Ladies Association for taking care of us so well.

This two-sided - one side souvenirs; and one side books, home goods, distillates from MV distillery, jewelry and elegant snacks is such a great gift shop. It has been amplified over the last few years and is arguably the best it has ever been. Staff is very friendly, especially on the "adult" side.

The team in customer service was awesome My 95 year old mom bought a lamp from Mount Vernon, but a couple items were missing. After a couple of phone calls, both Jen and Annie, made sure it was corrected. Not only did they send out a new lamp, they included a sweet note to my mom. Their quality is exceptional, as is their customer service!

The best selection of lovely gifts can be purchased at the Shops at Mount Vernon. A wonderful way to remember a beautiful visit to Mount Vernon Estates ❤️ Get an annual membership and visit as often as you want. I really enjoy the quality items you can purchase here.

Spent more money buying souvenirs here than the entire rest of our week long visit the Washington D.C area. The workers were friendly and merchandise ranged from nice to kitschy. Bought a few tshirts, some socks for the grandkids, and other non-essential items. But we had a good time at Mt. Vernon in general. It was not advertised but Veterans get a discount. At least I don't recall seeing it but my wife always asks.

We were in the area and wanted to grab some souvenirs from the MV gift shops. There are 2 different shops with tons of collectibles and souvenirs for people of all ages! I love to collect mugs, pressed pennies, magnets, post cards and ornaments. These shops had some great options from gifts and things to add to your personal collection. The handmade ornaments are exactly like ones I’ve purchased in Europe so I was excited that they so fit in with my Christmas decor !!! There is a large selection of books and even a section with books signed by the author which was really cool. There was a section of the store that had the 250 year collectible items for 2026 which is really cool. They even had a challenge coin 🪙 We had a great time shopping and were treated very well by the staff.

There is every price point in the well-merchandised shops! From fine China, lithograph, jewelry, spirits, and autographed books, you can find collectibles and keepsakes for gifts or to take home a collective memory of your trip to Mount Vernon. There is a Christmas section, gardening, SALE ITEMS, spoons, candles, and bottles from the estate. The casual shop is more geared for kids and collegiate-type garmets. They have games, plush, and hats. Remember they close at 6:00pm in case you're grabbing dinner.
